Introduction

For a project at our client`s site in Zurich we are looking for an experienced z/OS WebSphere Engineer (w/m/d).

This project requires a physical presence in Switzerland.

Your responsibilities:

• Managing and operation and administration of Websphere Application Server on z/OS
• Delivery of services and technologies to the enterprise and provide expertise to develop new capabilities for the infrastructure and business systems that rely upon it
• Design systems based on technology roadmaps and within domain technology standards
• Provide engineering support for research and development efforts, and serve as technical escalation point for critical problems and incidents
• To ensure the health of the environment, you’ll implement appropriate monitoring, alerting, and measurements

Your profile:

• Strong knowledge of Websphere Application Server on z/OS
• Familiarity with the migration process to a newer version / release of WebSphere on z/OS
• Good knowhow of daemon server, deployment manager, node agent, web server + plugins
• Good understanding of how to federate a base app node into a cell
• Understanding of how to build a network deployment configuration
• Capability of performing installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.
• Fluent in English
